Learn photomontage from a pro

One of the topics that always seem to pop-up in conversation with computer unsavvy people is photomontage. Can you really do it easily if you get a computer? Well, I always say, no. You have to acquire some skills and Photoshop would be the tool of choice.

To give you some concrete ideas I would like to point you to this article where illustrator Steve Caplin shows you how to go from a plain picture to a dramatic photomontage using nothing but a couple of images and, naturally, Photoshop. The page that follows the article contains a short but interesting interview with the author where you can learn what other software the author uses, some notes about the law when it comes to using photographs of people and houses, etc.

For all of you that are thirsty for more information, I invite you to take a look at the History of Photomontage and the acclaimed Creating Photomontages with Photoshop book.
