A visit with the Photoshop engineers

It was published in July but I only found this article today. It contains a plethora of photographs and the author, Jeff Schewe, really manages to bring the corporate Adobe world closer to the fans.

The visit starts in the garage and then it moves to the upper floors covering many of the important people behind Photoshop. If you ever wondered what computer equipment they use, what they offices look like, what they like to eat and what kind of clothes they wear, then do check it out as it's a very well done walkthrough of their 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA building. Just think about it, there are so many names on the Photoshop start-up graphic and I read them almost every day waiting for it to boot and now I can connect faces with names.

Let's face it, everybody has a cool office at Adobe, but Marc Pawliger, the Engineering Director on Photoshop, has the coolest one, and the best hardware to match the overall feel :)

If there was a company that has extremely good taste when it comes to office space than Adobe is certainly it. I would be seriously disappointed to see their office space to be "standard". I'm also pleased the see the domination of Apple hardware in the place :)
